The Permanent Committee for Human Rights (PCHR), in cooperation with the OHCHR Regional Office in Beirut, organised a four-day workshop in Abu Dhabi on the role of national mechanisms for implementation, reporting and follow-up (NMIRFs) and on developing national action plans to implement recommendations issued by international human rights mechanisms. Participants discussed the structure and capacities of national implementation mechanisms, regional and global best practices, and the use of a database for tracking the implementation of international human rights recommendations to support planning, monitoring and reporting.
