The Secretariat of the National Committee for Human Rights, headed by the Human Rights Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held a series of consultative meetings with a number of civil society institutions and associations in the UAE as part of the preparation of the National Human Rights Plan.
The National Human Rights Committee is keen to consult with and involve civil society institutions in preparing the National Human Rights Plan. The committee's secretariat intends to intensify consultations with concerned authorities in the country in the coming period.
It should be noted that the National Human Rights Committee launched the consultative process to prepare the National Human Rights Plan in December 2020.
